-===== Slippys prOgame Guide Chapter 1 - Saven Saven... what is that... why am I doing this? =====

-
-
-Now that the time has come for the first big fuckers to fly around with evil fleets and recycle broken fleets to take your resources, it's time to take a look at the topic of Saving. Saving is one of the most important parts of the prOgame. Therefore, if you don't have the possibility to keep an eye on your resources, you can send your fleet through space with all the resources that can potentially be stolen and they can't be attacked on the way, because there can only be two targets for attacks: Planets and moons. So if your ships are travelling, they cannot be destroyed and your resources in the cargo hold cannot be stolen. Great thing! Now there's just one catch... at some point your fleet will arrive at its destination... and that's when it's vulnerable. Because there are nasty things called moons. Moons can be created by large debris fields and then stand next to a planet and offer the opportunity to build unique buildings on them. One of these is the so-called sensor phalanx. The Sensor Phalanx is a building that can detect all fleet movements to and from a planet for a small amount of Deuterium (with one exception - more on that later). So for a player with a sensor phalanx, you have the ability to monitor the movement of your fleet... and time an attack so that you can't save your fleet.
-
-Oh no... that sounds pretty OP... what do I do against the Mieser? Yes... we'll get to that now... Step by step, we'll go through the different ways to save, the advantages and disadvantages of each method and how you can proceed. So let's go through the whole thing chronologically according to time.
-
-===== Saven... how do I do that? =====
-
-==== #1 No moons in the universe planet to planet statio: ====
-
-At the moment there are no moons in our universe... so... Easy... just send a fleet from one planet to another if you can't keep an eye on the yarn... choose the speed of the ships so that you are back when the ships arrive... and everything is fine... there is not much to consider here, except the fact that you should always make sure that you save your fleet by stationing it, because loaded resources are unloaded during a transport. So if you save by transport... the resources are lying around unprotected on the planet for half the flight time... that would of course be stupid.
-
-Conclusion: No moons = send the fleet from A to B by stationing, whereby B is the time at which you are back at the computer.
-
-==== #2 Oh no.The bad fuckers have moons and I don't.  ====
-
-
-Now the whole thing gets exciting.If someone with a moon is sitting near you... he can keep an eye on all fleet movements flying to and from a planet... but that's stupid. So your fleet is never safe? No.. not really... even then there is exactly one way to secure your fleet: return flights by stationing. If you send your fleet from planet A to planet B, your fleet is visible via phalanx... but not when you withdraw it. Return flights via stationing are not visible in the phalanx.
-to Planet statio return flight:
-
-As mentioned... fleets that are sent out by stationing are not visible on the return flight. So how do we use this?
-
-Case study:I am Tim.I know I sleep from 0:00 to 8:00. I'm a clever Tim and know when I'm going to sleep, so I send my fleet from planet A to planet B 9 hours (!!!) before I go to sleep by stationing. I withdraw my fleet at some point just before I go to sleep, e.g. at 23:41. Now my fleet is invisible between 23:41 and 8:41 and I'm back when my fleet arrives. I'm a clever Tim. Be like Tim.
-
-Note: If your opponent is a son of a bitch, he can theoretically phalanx your planet permanently, see when you move back and then calculate back when your fleet comes back by spying on your drive. However, since phalanxing costs Deut... and you have to be permanently observed... this is relatively unlikely.
-
-
-Conclusion: Send your fleet from planet A to planet B. Withdraw after the desired save time.
-
-==== #3 Fat I have moons myself ====
-
-
-Nice... we have a moon ourselves... maybe even several... we've learnt by now that only planets can be targeted by a phalanx. So... that makes it much easier for us to save. So how do we do that now? Okay... let's first go through the methods you can use if you only have one moon.
-
-=== Moon to debris field: ===
-
-Before you go to bed, simply send your fleet with the resources from the planet to the moon. From the moon, send your fleet to a debris field as mentioned before. Yay... Neither the debris field, nor the moon can be chosen as the target of the phalanx... so your fleet is invisible during the whole flight... NICE. There is only one weak point here: If you have a very experienced and ambitious enemy... he may be watching the debris fields in your neighbourhood. So if he sees a small debris field in your neighbourhood disappear... it means that a fleet has arrived at the debris field and is on its way back. Shit... your planet can be spied on, your propulsion level can be read... and the return time of your fleet can be calculated. Fuck... everything for arse. What would the fucking game be... if there wasn't a solution for everything...? So how do you make it even harder for your enemy? There are a few ways: 1. fly to a different debris field every time.
-Never the same. 2. don't fly at 100% of your speed... vary your speed and fly slower (also saves deut). Then the potential fucker will have to guess your speed and you'll be safer. 3. shadowrecs... wow... that sounds fancy... it is a bit. Before you send your main fleet to a debris field, you send a recycler to dismantle the debris field. During the recycler's flight time, you send your main fleet to the same debris field afterwards. If the attacker sees the debris field disappear, he sees your supposed fleet, but it only consists of one recycler. He intercepts you... and he's gone to the trouble of a recycler... what a kek. Your main fleet then flies on comfortably, even if the TF has already disappeared... and then simply turns around and everything is fine again... Nice. But beware... if you have a real head fucker nearby... he might shoot some spy probes at your target debris field to enlarge the debris field. If he sees that the debris field has shrunk by the capacity of a recycler... he knows that it's just a Shadowrec... he waits until the rest has been dismantled... flies after it and you're dead. So it's best to send a few more recyclers than Shadowrecs. Easy =)
-
-=== Moon to Kolo: ===
-
-Also, what can't be chosen as the target of a phalanx? Nothing! That's right! Nothing can't be scanned. So how do we use this? You've colonised all your possible planets and can't colonise another planet because of your astrophysics level. Perfect for the moon to Kolo save! You add a colony ship to your fleet... send the fleet to any empty space in the universe... select colonise as your destination, and your fleet sets off into the void! The fleet arrives at its destination... you receive a message that you can no longer colonise a planet... and the fleet turns around again. Invisible from A to Z. Tada! Just make sure that you don't have a planetary slot free... otherwise all your planets will be unloaded... and your resources will be lying around... nasty.
-
-=== Moon to moon: ===
-
-No moon can be chosen as a target by the Phalanx. You send your fleet with resources from moon to moon... by stationing of course... and voila... all tutti. =)
-
-Fuck... here comes the top fucker from Fickhausen. You messed with a real Babo and probably made him pretty angry. There's an option in the game to destroy moons and everything on them: Death Stars. Death stars can fuck moons away just like that. This happens extremely rarely... because when a Death Star destroys a moon, there's a chance that the so-called marble will simply be blown away... and the shit things fly slower than granny Erna with her Prius, driving backwards up a mountain with 4 flat tyres. But... there is a possibility. So what happens if your moon is destroyed...? If a moon is destroyed that is the target of a fleet... the fuckers just fly to the planet. Fuck. Planets are visible in the phalanx. My fleet!!!! EVERYTHING RUINED. Yep. Can happen. What do you do about it? Hmm... not much. You're fucked. If you've upset someone like that... you've really got a problem. The only thing that helps here is to change the moons from where you saved your fleet. Don't let the enemy know where your fleet is... switch them back and forth... and hope that your save moon doesn't get slapped away. Otherwise you'll have a problem. But since we play in a x1 Uni anyway...
- and a moon destruction needs death stars... and the chances are high that they will be destroyed... it will take a long time until the first moons are destroyed at all. You probably won't be playing that long anyway. And if you've been playing that long... you won't need the guide here either. EZ.
