Weights:

Buildings 1x
Research 0,8x
Fleet 0,6x

Minimum gap to receive a boost 10%. Reduction of up to 50%.

Formulas:

Weighedpoints(WP) = Buildingpoints + (Researchpoints * 0,8) + (Fleetpoints * 0,6)

Factor1 = 10 * 0,9747^(Own WP / Maximum WP * 100)

Reductionfactor = (1 - (1 - maxFactor) / (maxBoost - 1) * (Faktor1 - 1))

maxFactor = 0,5

maxboost = 10

Factor1 can be between 1 and 10.

Reductionfactor between 1(no boost) and 0,5(50% discount)

The following graph shows the reductionfactor distribution in the case of the maximum weighed points (in the whole Universe) being exactly 100,000.
In this case players up to 90,000 WP get a reduction.

A player with 12,000 WP would get a bit over 35% discount.
A player with 38,000 WP would get a bit over 15% discount.
A player with 64,000 WP would get a bit over 5% discount.

Other

Attention, this only reduces metal, crystal and deuterium costs, not energy costs like for example for graviton.

Because all Points are weighed, Number 1 of the Overall Leaderboard is not necessary the Reference for the Boost.

Example:

1. place has 50,000 Buildingpoints, 10,000 Researchpoints, 40,000 Fleetpoints and 7,001 Defensepoints.
That calculates to 82,000 WP.

2. place has 85,000 Buildingpoints, 9,000 Researchpoints, 13,000 Fleetpoints.
That calculates to 100.000 VGP.

In this case 2. place is the reference for the mechanic and 1. place would get a reduction of 1.24%.
