Solar satellites are launched into a geostationary orbit around a planet. They collect solar energy and transfer it to a ground station. The efficiency of solar satellites depends on the strength of solar radiation. In general, the energy yield is higher in orbits close to the sun than on planets with orbits far from the sun. Thanks to their good price-to-performance ratio, solar satellites solve the energy problems of many worlds. But beware: solar satellites can be destroyed in combat.
