Flighttime
The flight time indicates how long a fleet needs for a route.
The return flight always takes the same amount of time. The flight time also plays an important role in the fuel calculation.
The exact flight time is always required by players if they want to intercept fleet or simply want to calculate favourable save times.
Calculation
The flight time of a fleet is always based on the slowest ship.
For this reason, you must always first determine the slowest ship and can then calculate the flight duration of the entire fleet.
As with the fuel consumption, you also need the distance between the planets.
Once you have this and the speed of the slowest ship, all you have to do is enter everything into the formula.
Formula
flighttime in seconds: (3,500 / speed factor 1) ) * (distance * 10 / speed of slowest ship) ^ 0.5 + 10
Example
You want to fly with a ship from 1:1:1 to 1:5:1 —> 4 systems
Your research is:
combustion engine : 8
impulse engine : 6
hyperdrive : 4
You want to fly with 1 ST and that with 100% —> since impulse_engine is above 5, it has a base speed of 10,000 and flies with impulse_engine.
Speed calculation:
10,0000 2) + ( 10,000 3) * (6 4) * 0.2 5) ) ) = 22,000 6)
Time calculation with formula
( 3,500 / 17) ) * (3080 8) 10 / 22,000 9) ) ^ 0.5 + 10 = 4151 seconds = 01 h : 09 m : 11 s
