Universe 3
Status: closed (4-month runtime, started 2023-12-01, ended 2024-03-31). See Universe Overview for a comparison with the other universes.
- Resource speed 2x, fleet speed 1x, build speed 1x, research speed 2.5x
- 40% of a destroyed fleet goes into the debris field
- 15% of destroyed defense goes into the debris field (effectively 4.5%: with 70% rebuild, that's 15% of the remaining 30% destroyed defense)
- 2 galaxies, 350 systems, ring galaxy type (system 1 to system 2 is the same distance as system 1 to system 400, system 2 is 2 systems away from 400)
- Inactive accounts are deleted after 28 days
- Maximum moon size 5,500 km (26% destruction chance)
- Bad-luck protection for the first moon: with each 20% attempt, an additional X% is added until the moon forms (e.g. 2% per attempt → attempt 2 = 22%, attempt 8 = 34%)
- Players are no longer kicked out of vacation mode
- On inactivity, the player is kicked from their alliance and their buddy list is cleared (not while in vacation mode)
- Repair Dock: allows rebuilding part of your own defending fleet (roughly 15–30% of the fleet that didn't end up in the debris field)
- Resource stash (working title, work in progress): allows protecting resources based on daily production (1–10%) — Metal Storage 5 → 5% of daily metal production not raidable, Crystal Storage 10 → 10% of daily crystal production not raidable
- Espionage-technology-dependent statistics detail: initially only total points are visible in stats and player cards; higher Espionage Technology levels reveal more detail (level 0 → total, level 2 → buildings, level 4 → research, level 6 → fleet/defense/combat statistics)
Settings Carried Over From Universe 2
- Maximizer requirements lowered from Research Lab 8 and Energy Technology 5 to Research Lab 4 and Energy Technology 3
- New planet sizes, home planets with equal temperature (50°C), first colony at the average value
- Deuterium formula adjusted, expedition change, planet placement algorithm (see Universe 2)
